Learn how to install lambo doors on a Pontiac G6 by these photos and tips

Here is some photos on how to install the bolt on lambo door kit on a Pontiac G6. Fairly easy process. For more information or to purchase a bolt on lambo door kit for the Pontiac G6 visit www.ebay.com/Quality-Lambo-Doors. Pictures and installation was done by Precision Auto Tech.

Take off the door stopper (10mm) Note: I put the bolt back in to fill the hole

Remove the two nuts that hold the stopper to the door. (10mm) Note: You will need to remove the inner door panel to remove the door stopper from the door. I temporarily pushed it in the door to get it out of the way. I later went in and removed it.

Removed inner fender bolt. (10mm)

Remove the three fender bolts on top. (10mm? see a pattern yet?)

To make life easy, I removed the headlight and was able to access the two bolts that attach the fender to the front bumper. There is also another bolt that is easy to access in the fender well. (Headlight bolts: 7mm two bolts in the front behind the light, 10mm. One bolt in fender well, 10mm)

Congratulations! The hardest part is over! Move to the next step. (No 10mm bolt here! HA!)

Tape the door up to the car however you want. There is no perfect way to do this.

If you look closely you will see three sets of marks. This will make life so much easier if you align your door using these marks after the new hinges are installed

The old hinges. Not much to them. (Door bolts: 10mm, bolts to the frame 13mm) Note: You may need to use a swivel to get in there and get the bolts off the door.

Bottom hinges? look a lot like the tops right? Same rules and notes apply. After you have them removed. Place the new hinges on! They should bolt to the same holes. I got all the bolts in both the door and the frame and tightened the frame bolts to about 80 Ft LBS and then I did the same to the door bolts.

With the fender off, I tested the swing, hight and the alignment of the door. Note: Once you have the new hinge on, you will need to install the shock/piston. You may need someone to hold the door up while you insert the piston in the sleeve.

In this picture you see the fender back on the car. I kept my alignment tape on the car until EVERYTHING was final and tight. I KEPT referring back to the alignment marks with every change I make. Note: You need to cut off an inner lip on the fender. I used a simple 3″ cutting wheel and the magical green tape as a line guide. I left about 1″ from the edge of the fender just to be safe. Once you are completed with this process and verified everything is greased and aligned, reassemble the car as you took it apart! Pretty simple huh!?

Enjoy! As long as you purchased a name brand kit that is able to be greased and maintained you should not have any issues with these doors. My customer is very pleased and is enjoying his new look.
